Personal Information[/center]
»»Age: 17
»»Apparent Age: 17
»»Gender: Female
»»Height: 5' 6"
»»Weight: 120lbs
»»Appearance: Riley is a thin, rather frail looking, girl, that is roughly of average height. Her build is slim, and as her small body suggests, she does not have a whole lot of physical strength (though she does have agility on her side). She walks gracefully, with the litheness of a cat, supported on long, slender legs that are generally clad in a pair of blue and white striped stockings, a pair of black, shin length pants that are tattered around the bottoms, and a pair of sturdy, albeit light, hiking boots.
She has a fair complexion, that leans slightly towards the pale side, though due to her mild nature her cheeks are usually flushed red. Riley's eyes, which are soft and generally portray her emotions, are a bright shade of green. Additionally, her hair is jet black, somewhat choppy looking, and does not reach pass her shoulders. It is a little bushy, but generally hangs straight, so it sometimes covers her face (and tend to make her look a little paler than she is, due to the contrast).
Her shoulders are slim and narrow, though they generally look a little bulkier than they actually are due to her choice of clothing. She wears a sleeveless black turtle neck under a somewhat large, warm tan colored jacket that has a fur lined neck and hood.
Occasionally she carries a somewhat tattered looking old back pack with her, which she insists is durable. Alternatively, she might just wear a single pouch on her hip for storage, depending on how much she has to carry with her.
Behavioral Information
»»Personality: Riley is a cautious person, attentive and constantly aware of her surroundings, even if she appears to be alone. She has a very strong drive to survive, which is only really trumped by her desire to protect those that she are close to, or responsible of. She has a soft spot for those in her guild, and would do anything in the name of helping a friend, even if her method of doing so is unorthodox.
Being a quiet girl, with the tendency to be shy around strangers, she is often seen as weak or frail, but in reality she has a reasonable amount of magical power, and on top of that she can take a beating. Due to her history, she has become somewhat skilled at reading the intentions of those that are around her, based on little things that most would not notice - such as mannerisms, hand gestures, tone of voice, word choices, etc. She also tends to trust her instincts, if there is something suspicious about a person, even if she cannot specifically identify what it is, she will be wary and cautious around them until she has learned if the person is friend or foe.
Riley is kind, and will extend a helping hand to those who need it, with a gentle personality and an excellent temperament. She is a very compassionate person, with a fierce sense of loyalty to those that she is close to, as well as to her guild and all of it's members. As soft hearted and spoken as she is, she will not hesitate to defend what needs defending, regardless of what it might be from.

Biographical Information
»»Relationships: None.
»»Relatives: Maddox Aquila (brother), her parents, and a mean old grandfather.
»»History:Riley was born into a dark guild, and not just any dark guild, but an assassin's guild, as the youngest member of the Aquila family, a family that had long participated in the act of accepting bribes and money for murder. The Aquila name is a notorious one, feared throughout the land, subject of many dark legends and speculations. They are well known amongst assassin's for their success (and to the government for their elusiveness), and particularly for the fact that the last five generations of the family had all been assassins of great notoriety.
She was raised in the same manner as her brother. Forced to learn the arts of the assassin. As early as was possible, they placed throwing knives in her hands or made her practice with a bow. They taught her what it was to be an assassin, and a proper one at that, so her parents, as well as the other guild members, were cruel to her. They would make her suffer, they would taunt her, harm her, play cruel mind games on the young girl, all in an attempt to cut off her emotions - which were nothing but a hindrance to assassins. Feeling petty things such as 'pity' towards a target was obviously not allowed.
Her older brother followed in the footsteps of their ancestors, but Riley turned out to be the black sheep of the family. In the face of abuse and suffering she merely accepted it, thinking it was her place to do so, for she could not do what everyone wished of her. In the span of those five generations, she was the only Aquila to refuse to cause harm to another person, and she suffered even more for this, as those around her tried to force her to accept the lifestyle that she constantly rejected. On top of that, she was so frail and useless! She fumbled with the simplest of tasks and could not raise her voice. They saw her as a burden, due to the severity of her weakness, and so with time they got more forceful in their methods.
They would bring her along on small assassination jobs, hoping that she would acquire a taste for blood, but instead, she would try to foil their attempts to off their target, much to their annoyance, though she never really succeeded in doing so due to the fact that she was weak. However, it did succeed in giving her terrible nightmares that she has always carried with her.
In spite of her weak body, from a young age she noticed that she was somewhat gifted with magics, more so than the rest of her family, whom had no such talent (even her brother did not discover his magic until much later in his live). She largely kept it a secret, choosing to hide it from the guild so that they would not try to abuse these magics for their own personal gain.
As she got older, she became more elusive, truly like the Aquila's before her, able to evade their attacks on her and also escape seamlessly while they were trying to find her. With age, came the understanding that their lifestyle was not a normal one. On one instance, she observed her wounded older brother returning from a mission, wounded, nearly dying and suffering from an intense fever. The guild locked him outside for the night, saying he had disgraced their name, leaving him for dead. Of course, this was not something Riley would merely allow. She snuck out in the dead of night, mending her brother as best she could, providing him with food, water, as well as a blanket, she spent the night looking carefully over him, while he was stumped by her compassion, which he had never received before.
While it was greatly delayed, the two developed a bond (before that night, he had simply disregarded her existence. He did not abuse her, but he did not step in to protect her, either), and his suddenly developed an intolerance for those whom insisted on causing her harm (since in his mind, she saved his life), and even he eventually grew wary of the path that had set out before him. Neither had a choice in how they lived. They belonged to the guild. They were property, no more than lowly dogs of an unkind master.
Eventually, Riley pleaded with her brother to take her away from the guild, and rather than simply leading her to safety, he decided to join her in abandoning their harsh lifestyle, where expectations were high and punishments harsh (additionally, the money he made was taken from him by his greedy relative, which played a bigger part than you might think in his leaving the guild). Both desired a change, Maddox having never enjoyed killing as his parents had, and Riley whom did not even like to fight, wanted a more peaceful life.
What they found, however, was chaos. Months of running, while being hunted and chased to exhaustion in a cruel hunt set forth by none other than their own parents.

Magic, Spells and Skills
»»Mage Type: Sin Eater: Though she does not technically 'eat' sins, she absorbs the negative energy that is left behind them. She then harnesses this energy, turning it into magic - or in particular a spell. To attain a new spell she must first relieve someone of their sins - or multiple someones if the sins have been passed down through blood. When she draws out the sins burdening a person, they feel relieved, quite literally as though a weight has been lifted from her shoulders, and she, in return for accepting these sins, gains a new spell.
»»Elemental Affinity: Darkness
»»Spells:
- Name: Blood Soul
Type: Sin Eater
Level: Rank 1
Range: Self; Held
Upkeep:
Description: Blood Soul is the collective sins of the Aquila bloodline, formed into a single weapon that, due to her lack of magic skill, is not what it could be. The weapon speaks to her, whispering words into her mind, cursing her existence and asking why she is alive when they are not. When used, the Blood Soul creates a wound that cannot be healed properly without healing magic, leaving nasty looking purplish-black 'scars' that swell and causes pain. The weapon is made of pure darkness, it is about as tall as she is, in the vague shape of a staff. It is a purple-blackish color, with a terribly dark aura that makes it look as those it does not have a solid form.
Drawback: The weapon itself actually tries to 'eat' Riley. It's darkness spreads up her arm, devouring her body. The longer she uses it, the more it consumes her. If her concentration is broken, or something 'breaks' her mind, causing her will to crumble, Blood Soul will immediately consume her. Her body will be taken over by the lost souls, driven by vengeance and hungry for blood. She will thus only be returned to normal if killed, if the weapon is pried from her hands, or if she runs out of magic, or is unable to use magic/unconscious. It can only be used once per thread. Normal weapons are able to block it.
